Goodbye Dear Friend

I remember meeting you at the library and then discovering that you lived just down the street. As I was walking down the road one day I saw you sitting in your front yard picking clover one at a time out of the grass. "Wow." I thought. "She must be a pretty patient and determined person." As the years went by and our friendship grew I learned that this was indeed a fitting description.

Your friendship came along at a time when I was a lonely stay-at-home mom who yearned for the company of those in similar circumstances.

You were an example of the kind of mother I hope to be.
Calm, quiet and loving.
Thank you for sharing your family and friends with me.

Nancy I will never forget you.
