Strike A Pose

Will loves to borrow things.  "Can I borrow this?"  is often a question posed by the little bugger.  He has an ample supply of Bea's jammas in his drawers and now he has moved on to swimwear.  "It's so twirly," he commented when putting on this little number.  He is his own man....in a twirly yellow striped one piece.

Oh Fi@x8ds sticks.

"Oh, fiddlesticks" is a rated-G term of frustration I often use when dealing with the minor daily irritations of life.  Last saturday, however, we left the house by 9:00 am to go to a Fiddlesticks concert at Heinz hall in downtown Pittsburgh.  Okay...really...it was closer to 9:15 am, but our intent was good.  Anyhow this is family friendly concert put on by the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra where you show up an hour before the show for crafts, sing-a-longs, dancing, introduction to the instruments (we heard a duet by a cellist and violinist who then talked about their instruments to the kids).  It was FANTASTIC.  Very relaxing and enjoyable.  Ethan spend the first 30 minutes walking around Heinz hall saying "This is FAN-cee."  As the boys posed in front of the waterfall, a woman walked by with her cute little daugther all frilled up and said a statement that I seem to hear a lot, "Wow.  Three boys.  God bless you."  I smiled and responded in some generic albeit friendly way, turned to look at my three fellows calmly obeying my call for a regular smiling photo and realized I wouldn't trade a one of them.....most days.

Out and About

Many times a day Will makes the statement, "Mommy I have three best friends.....B.B., Ethan and Elin."  Sometimes he shakes things up a bit by adding his 5 year old buddy, Bree.  A few weeks ago we spent the day outside at my Mom's with two of his pals.  My little man was in heaven.  (Sorry Will I know you are offended by the term "little" right now....but hey, you can't read yet, so you will never know.)

Smelling the wild Phlox, chasing crayfish and sailing boats down a little stream proved to be a great adventure for explorers big and little.

So long

We brought them home only a week or so ago.  Set up a nice, although small habitat for them in the kitchen where we could chat with them everyday.  Ricco, Kowalski and Skipper you were with us for such a short time but you will be in our hearts (and perhaps plumbing system) forever.  Godspeed old chaps.
